TPN , Hyderabad: BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has publicly challenged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Congress MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to undergo a drug test, calling for greater accountability from state leaders. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Kaushik Reddy affirmed that his support comes from his panchayat, adding that he had previously urged Congress representatives to participate in a drug test. He alleged that, instead, Congress leaders discreetly went to the hospital without prior notice. Kaushik criticized Revanth Reddy for allegedly attempting to implicate him in a drug-related case, which he claimed was an effort by both the Chief Minister and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao, though they failed.
Kaushik further stated that the state’s citizens are dissatisfied under the Congress rule and accused the government of avoiding transparency. In a related development, a case involving BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao’s brother-in-law, Raj Pakala, and his farmhouse has ignited a war of words between Congress and the opposition BRS, with accusations flying from both sides.
Responding to the drug test challenge, Congress leaders, including MP Anil Yadav and MLC Balmuri Venkat, provided blood samples at Apollo Hospital in Hyderguda. They also demanded that BRS leaders fulfill their part of the challenge, escalating tensions as the political standoff continues.
