Ponnala Prabhakar, former minister and prominent Congress leader, kicked off his parliamentary campaign with a massive rally in the Mancherial Mandal Center, garnering immense support from women activists.
Addressing a corner meeting at Mancherial Chowrasta, Prabhakar reiterated his commitment to the development of the region and sought blessings for Rajendar Rao, the Congress MP candidate from Karimnagar.
The rally witnessed a significant turnout of women activists, showcasing their solidarity with Prabhakar and the Congress party.

Underlining the achievements of the Congress government, Prabhakar highlighted initiatives such as free bus travel for women within 48 hours of assuming office, and the provision of gas connections to 500 households.
In a direct appeal to farmers, he pledged to waive off agricultural loans worth Rs. 2 lakh, in addition to providing a bonus of 500 rupees per quintal of crops.
Furthermore, Prabhakar criticized the incumbent BJP government’s handling of the state’s affairs, calling attention to the doubling of electricity tariffs and the proposed construction of KCR Double Bedroom houses.
Asserting the Congress’s commitment to welfare measures, he stated, “We aim to build 3,500 Indira Amma houses in every constituency, providing financial relief to farmers and addressing their loan burdens.”
