Harry Brook Breaks Kohli’s Record in ODI Series Against Australia

Harry Brook has set a new record for the highest runs scored by a captain in a bilateral ODI series, surpassing Virat Kohli’s previous record. In the recently concluded five-match ODI series against Australia, Brook accumulated 312 runs, achieving this feat in the fifth ODI held at the County Ground in Bristol.

Previously, Kohli held the record with 310 runs scored during a five-match ODI series against Australia in 2019, where he averaged 62. Brook’s performance in the current series was remarkable, with an average of 78 and a strike rate of 127.86.

In the series, Brook’s scores were impressive: 39, 04, 110, 87, and 72, showcasing his consistent form. Following Kohli and Brook, MS Dhoni ranks third on the list with 285 runs, followed by Ian Morgan (278), Babar Azam (276), AB de Villiers (271), and Andrew Strauss (267).

Brook’s achievement underscores his rising stature in international cricket and his significant contribution to England’s success in the series.
