TPN , Amaravati: Former minister and YCP leader Roja faced significant backlash on social media after conducting polls regarding the governance of key political figures in Andhra Pradesh. Following a poor response from netizens, she was compelled to delete both the polls and the channel associated with them.
The controversy arose in the wake of ongoing debates concerning alleged adulteration of Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. In her initial post, Roja referenced a poll indicating that out of 19,000 respondents, a staggering 76% believed that former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s governance was better. Additionally, a separate poll conducted on the culpability in the Laddu adulteration case garnered over 62,000 votes, with 72% attributing the issue to former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The overwhelming sentiment from the polls shocked Roja, leading her to take swift action by deleting the posts and shutting down her channel, which had been active for several days. This decision, however, did not quell the reaction from netizens, who began sharing screenshots of the controversial polls, further trolling her on various platforms.
The incident highlights the volatility of public opinion in the current political landscape, particularly surrounding sensitive issues like the Tirumala Laddu controversy. As discussions continue, Roja’s attempt to gauge public sentiment has backfired, leaving her to navigate the fallout from the unexpected backlash.
