In a proactive move towards water conservation and environmental sustainability, the Environment, Forest, Science, and Technology Department of Telangana, in collaboration with various government departments, is organizing a Technical Training Programme for Plumbing Technicians. The focus of the training is on the installation of Rainwater Collection and Rainwater Harvesting Structures, as well as Rainwater Project implementation.
Individual plumbers and Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) are urged to participate in this initiative by registering their plumbers through the Google Form available on the official websites of EPTRI, GHMC, and HMWSSB. Participants can choose their preferred training center and date from April 22nd, 24th, or 25th via the provided Google form.
The three-hour training program will equip plumbing technicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement Rainwater Harvesting techniques. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a photo ID badge certifying their expertise in Rainwater Harvesting installation.
This initiative underscores the commitment of various government departments, including MA&UD, GHMC, Irrigation, PR&RD, HMWSSB, Horticulture, Groundwater, CDMA, TSPCB, and EPTRI, towards promoting water conservation and sustainability. By empowering plumbing technicians with the tools and knowledge to implement Rainwater Harvesting, the program aims to contribute significantly to water conservation efforts, benefiting the community and the environment alike.
Through collaborative efforts and proactive measures, Telangana is taking strides towards a more sustainable future, where every drop of rainwater is effectively utilized for the greater good of society and the environment.
