TPN , Mangalagiri — Representatives of the Internal Water Quality Monitoring Laboratory Contract Employees Union met with Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development, Pawan Kalyan, at the party’s Mangalagiri headquarters on Sunday. The employees voiced their concerns about job security, stating that they have been facing political pressure that has led to their termination. They also reported that they have not received their salaries for the past three months.
The union members appealed for job security to ensure their families do not suffer hardship. Pawan Kalyan assured them that he would address their issues, promising to issue directives to officials to clear the pending salaries.
During the meeting, a visually impaired woman named G. Sujana Kumari shared her plight with Pawan Kalyan. She has worked as a helper at the Kadapa District laboratory for the past ten years but was terminated three months ago. Sujana, who was born with a single kidney and unable to perform heavy lifting, expressed her distress over the loss of her job and urged Pawan Kalyan to assist her in securing employment.
In response, Pawan Kalyan assured Sujana that he would speak with officials about her situation. The meeting was also attended by Jana Sena Party Legislative Council member Pidugu Hariprasad and party program coordination committee convener Kalyanam Shivashrinivas.
The gathering underscored the urgent need for job security and support for employees facing uncertain futures in the state’s rural water supply sector.
