* MP Etala Rajender’s open letter to CM Revanth Reddy
* What is your plan of action for cleansing the mousse? , Is there a DPR?
* What are the alternative arrangements for those who are losing their houses?
TPN, Telangana: MP Etala Rajender wrote an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, raising several critical questions regarding the Musi River rejuvenation project. He inquired about the action plan for Musi restoration and whether a Detailed Project Report (DPR) exists.
Rajender expressed concerns for those losing their homes, asking what alternative arrangements the government is providing. He questioned how the government can promise double-bedroom houses to those displaced when they previously owned homes valued in crores.
He also highlighted discrepancies in project funding, pointing out that while ₹2,000 crores were allocated for the Sabarmati River rejuvenation and ₹22,000 crores for the Namoganga project over 12 years, a staggering ₹1,50,000 crores is proposed for the Musi project. Rajender demanded transparency regarding who was awarded the project contract.
Additionally, he questioned the legality of demolitions happening without determining the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone of lakes. He emphasized the need for clear alternatives for those who built homes on patta lands.
Rajender cautioned that the government’s current actions are jeopardizing the future and development of Hyderabad. He called for a meeting led by the Chief Minister instead of mere announcements on stages, stating that he would be willing to attend. He asserted that his struggle is for the impoverished individuals who built their homes with hard-earned savings. Rajender concluded that until these issues are addressed clearly, his protest will continue, reaffirming his commitment to stand with the people, regardless of his official position.
