Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Leads Initiative to Inspect Roads

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and her cabinet ministers took to the streets today to assess the condition of roads across the national capital. This effort is part of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s initiative to make Delhi pothole-free ahead of Diwali.

Starting early at 6 AM, the entire cabinet was deployed to various locations to conduct on-ground inspections of public works department (PWD) roads. Atishi emphasized the government’s commitment to improving road conditions, stating, “The whole cabinet has been on Ground Zero to ensure that all PWD roads in Delhi are made pothole-free.”

During her inspection, Atishi highlighted several key areas that are receiving attention, including NSIC Okhla, Modi Mill flyover, Chirag Delhi, Tughlakabad extension, Mathura Road, Ashram Chowk, and various underpasses. The initiative aims not only to address the immediate concerns of road safety and accessibility but also to enhance the overall infrastructure of the city.

The Chief Minister’s hands-on approach reflects the government’s determination to tackle the longstanding issue of potholes that have plagued Delhi’s roads, especially during the monsoon season. By committing to a deadline before Diwali, the AAP government aims to reassure residents and improve their daily commuting experience.

As part of the broader initiative, the government is also seeking to engage with citizens, encouraging feedback on road conditions and maintenance efforts. This approach aligns with AAP’s vision of responsive governance and community involvement.

Atishi’s leadership in this project showcases her proactive stance in addressing infrastructure challenges while also demonstrating the AAP’s commitment to making tangible improvements in the lives of Delhi residents. With the festive season approaching, the government’s goal is to ensure safer and smoother roads for everyone in the capital.
