Jaipur, November 6: Tensions erupted in Indaram village, Jaipur Mandal, on Wednesday when Congress leaders clashed with Chennoor MLA Vivek Venkataswamy during a Bhumi Puja ceremony for the construction of a CC road and side drain funded by DMFT.
MLA Vivek was visiting the village to initiate the development works, but Congress leaders, including Jakkula Venkatesham, were upset that local Congress President Fayaz had not informed them of the MLA’s visit. Venkatesham expressed his dissatisfaction, claiming the lack of communication was intentional. In response, Fayaz accused Venkatesham of attempting to sabotage the program and clarified that he had personally messaged all leaders via WhatsApp.
The heated exchange between the two leaders escalated into a scuffle, prompting the police to intervene and restore order. Frustrated with the ongoing quarrel, MLA Vivek left the event early, despite having plans to attend another program at the SC Colony in the village.
Before his departure, the Bhoomi Puja for the CC road and side drain construction was performed in Narva village as part of the planned development efforts. The incident has caused a stir in the local political landscape, highlighting internal tensions within the Congress party.
