In a significant development for Telugu cinema, the much-anticipated film “Vishwambhara,” starring megastar Chiranjeevi, is reportedly pulling out of the Sankranti race. Initially slated for a January 10 release to coincide with the Sankranti festival, recent updates indicate that the film may not make it to theaters as planned.
The delay is attributed to pending visual effects work and an incomplete OTT deal, prompting the makers to reconsider their release strategy. An official announcement regarding the film’s status is expected soon.
Directed by Vashishta Mallidi and produced by UV Creations, “Vishwambhara” is a socio-fantasy film featuring Chiranjeevi alongside actresses Trisha Krishnan and Ashika Ranganath. The cast also includes Kunal Kapoor and Ramya Pasupulati. Renowned music director M.M. Keeravani is composing the soundtrack for this ambitious project.
As the Sankranti season is crucial for the release of Telugu films, the decision to withdraw from the competition is likely to have significant implications for both the film and its audience.
