TPN , Amaravati– The Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the removal of Gajjala Venkata Lakshmi from her position as Chairperson of the Women’s Commission. The order for her removal was issued on September 23.
In her petition, Gajjala Venkata Lakshmi sought to halt the implementation of the memo regarding her dismissal. However, the High Court has ruled against her, rejecting the associated petition she filed.
The court’s decision reaffirms the government’s authority in appointing and removing officials from the Women’s Commission, as it emphasizes the need for effective governance and accountability within the commission.
